After a night back in Lima, you fly to Ecuador for a week in the Galápagos: giant tortoises at Rancho Primicias, the Charles Darwin Research Station, Isabela Island, the Sierra Negra volcano and snorkeling with sharks at Los Túneles.

It is a complete South America tour package — hotels, transfers, guides, trains, flights coordination and excursions are all planned — but it runs as a tailor-made trip: you choose the date, the hotel category and the group size, and any day can be adjusted. Departures are daily, all year.
About nine days in Peru (Lima, Cusco, Rainbow Mountain, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca), five in Bolivia (La Paz and Uyuni) and nine in Ecuador, seven of them in the Galápagos.
Flights to Ecuador connect most easily through Lima, and a night there breaks up the journey between the Andes and the islands.
Three nights on Isabela include the Sierra Negra volcano trek, the Los Túneles snorkeling excursion and free time in Puerto Villamil with its beach, flamingo lagoon and tortoise breeding center.
On top of the package, Ecuador charges every visitor two Galápagos fees: the Transit Control Card (TCT), purchased at Quito or Guayaquil airport before check-in, and the National Park entrance fee, paid in cash when you land. At present they are US$20 and US$200 per foreign adult, but the authorities can change them at any time — check before you fly.
It comes on day 4, your second day in Cusco, and reaches more than 5,000 m. If you are sensitive to altitude, we can move it later or replace it with a gentler excursion.
Peru uses soles (PEN), Bolivia bolivianos (BOB) and Ecuador — Galápagos included — the US dollar. Cards are widely accepted in cities, but carry cash for the Altiplano, markets, tips and the Galápagos park fee, which must be paid in cash.
The per-person price depends on your hotel category, from Essential 2★ to Deluxe 5★, and on group size — see the Rates tab. Flights, the Galápagos National Park fee and the Transit Control Card are quoted or paid separately.
