Southern Peru Holiday 15 Days: Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a Peru tour package or a custom trip?

Both. It is a ready-made Peru vacation package with every hotel, transfer, guide, train and excursion already planned, but it runs as a custom trip: you choose the date, the hotel category and the number of travelers, and we can adjust any day. Departures are daily, all year.

Is this a good first trip to Peru?

Yes. It covers the essential southern circuit — Lima, the Nazca Lines, Arequipa, the Colca Canyon, Lake Titicaca, Cusco and Machu Picchu — with no demanding hikes and two relaxed days in Lima.

What is included in the Peru South Circuit Holiday package?

14 nights with breakfast, airport transfers, the Lima city tour, the Ballestas boat trip, the Nazca Lines flight, the 2-day Colca tour, the Lake Titicaca islands, the Route of the Sun bus, the Cusco city tour, the Sacred Valley, the panoramic train and Machu Picchu with guide.

How is this different from your Peru South Circuit 15-day tour?

This holiday version spends more time in Lima — a guided city tour at the start and a free day at the end — and includes a Cusco city tour. Our Peru South Circuit tour instead adds a night in Paracas and a VIP day at Maras and Moray.

How does the itinerary help with altitude?

Altitude is introduced gradually: Arequipa (approx. 2,335 m) and the Colca Valley (approx. 3,600 m) prepare your body before Puno (approx. 3,830 m) and Cusco (approx. 3,400 m). Drink plenty of water, avoid heavy meals on arrival, try coca tea and take the first afternoon at each new altitude slowly. Consult your doctor before travel if you have a medical condition.

When is the best time to travel?

The tour runs all year. April to November is the dry season in the Andes; from December to March the highlands are green with afternoon showers, while the coast is sunny.

Can I customize this Peru holiday package?

Yes. Departures are daily, all year, and every day of this 10-day itinerary can be adapted: add nights, upgrade hotels, switch to a luxury train to Machu Picchu or add Huayna Picchu. Just tell us in the request form.

How much does the 15-day southern Peru holiday cost?

The price depends on the hotel category you choose (Essential 2★, Comfort 3★, Superior 4★ or Deluxe 5★) and on the number of travelers. Open the Rates tab for the current price per person, based on double or twin accommodation. Domestic flights are quoted separately so you can choose airline and schedule.
