Every day of your trip, with where you'll spend the night.
Day 1
Arrive in Lima, the starting point of your Machu Picchu and salt flats adventure. A driver takes you to your hotel; rest up for tomorrow’s flight to the Andes.
Day 2
Fly to Cusco and take things slowly at 3,400 m. In the afternoon, a short walk brings you to the Koricancha, the Inca Temple of the Sun, whose curved wall is one of the finest examples of Inca stonework anywhere.
Day 3
Travel through the Sacred Valley to Ollantaytambo and board the panoramic train for the 1.5-hour ride along the Urubamba into the cloud forest. Overnight in Aguas Calientes, at the foot of the citadel.
Day 4
Ride up to Machu Picchu at opening time for your guided visit — the terraces, the temples and the dramatic setting between two peaks — then take the train and road back to Cusco.
Day 5
A guided tourist bus links Cusco and Puno on the Route of the Sun, with visits to Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, La Raya Pass and Pucará, and a buffet lunch along the way.
Day 6
Sail from Puno to the Uros islands, floating platforms of totora reeds, and on to Taquile Island for a walk along its stone paths and lunch with views across Lake Titicaca.
Day 7
Cross into Bolivia by road along the lake. After immigration at the border, continue over the Altiplano to La Paz, Bolivia’s seat of government at about 3,640 m.
Day 8
Fly to Uyuni and set out by 4x4: the train cemetery, the salt village of Colchani and the Salar de Uyuni itself, with Incahuasi Island rising from the white plain. Overnight in a hotel made of salt.
Day 9
Head south through the Altiplano to lagoons full of flamingos, the wind-carved Stone Tree and Laguna Colorada inside the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve. Night in a simple lodge.
Day 10
Visit the Sol de Mañana geysers at sunrise and relax in the Polques hot springs before driving back to Uyuni for the night.
Day 11
Return to La Paz by plane and enjoy a free afternoon in the city, from Plaza Murillo to the Witches’ Market and the Mi Teleférico cable cars.
Day 12
Morning flight from La Paz to Lima to connect with your international flight home. End of services.

It is a complete South America tour package — hotels, transfers, guides, trains, flights coordination and excursions are all planned — but it runs as a tailor-made trip: you choose the date, the hotel category and the group size, and any day can be adjusted. Departures are daily, all year.
This 12-day route: fly to Cusco, visit Machu Picchu, cross overland to Lake Titicaca and La Paz, then fly La Paz – Uyuni – La Paz for the salt flat tour. It avoids backtracking and long overnight buses.
Yes. Cusco (approx. 3,400 m) comes first, Machu Picchu (approx. 2,430 m) is lower, and you climb gradually via Puno and La Paz before the Uyuni expedition, which reaches approx. 4,900 m at the geysers.
The train cemetery and Colchani, the Salar de Uyuni and Incahuasi Island on day one; the flamingo lagoons, the Stone Tree and Laguna Colorada on day two; and the Sol de Mañana geysers and the Polques hot springs on day three.
Yes. You can add a Lima city tour on arrival day, a full day in the Sacred Valley before Machu Picchu, or Copacabana and the Isla del Sol on the Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca.
Whether you need a Bolivian visa depends on your passport: many nationalities enter freely for tourism, others must apply beforehand or, in some cases, at the border. Requirements are updated from time to time, so confirm with the nearest Bolivian consulate before you book, and make sure your passport has at least six months’ validity.
We strongly recommend travel insurance with medical and evacuation cover, especially for high-altitude areas such as Uyuni and for the Galápagos, plus trip-cancellation cover for international and domestic flights.
Your price is set by the hotel category (Essential 2★, Comfort 3★, Superior 4★ or Deluxe 5★) and the size of your group. See the Rates tab for today’s price per person in a double or twin room; flights between cities are quoted separately.
