Leave the capital behind and travel south along the Pacific coast to the bay of Paracas (approx. 3.5 hours). Witness the Flight of the Condor at Colca Canyon

Wake up early, because the condors don’t wait. Follow the edge of the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the world, to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, where Andean condors with wingspans of up to three meters ride the morning thermals. Peru Unforgettable Trip 14 Days: Your Questions Answered

Is two weeks enough for a first trip to Peru?

Yes. In 14 days this trip covers the Pacific coast, the Nazca Lines, Arequipa, the Colca Canyon, Lake Titicaca, Cusco, Rainbow Mountain and Machu Picchu, traveling mostly overland so you see how the landscapes change from the desert to the high Andes.

What is included in the 14-day trip?

13 nights of accommodation with breakfast, all ground transport and transfers, the Ballestas Islands, the Nazca Lines flight, the 2-day Colca tour, the Lake Titicaca islands, the Route of the Sun bus, the Rainbow Mountain excursion, the Sacred Valley, the panoramic train, Machu Picchu with guide and all listed entrance fees.

Is the Rainbow Mountain hike suitable for me?

It is a moderate hike of approx. 1.5–2 hours each way, reaching more than 5,000 m. By day 11 you will have spent more than a week at altitude, which makes it much easier, and horses can be rented for part of the way. If you prefer, we can replace it with a gentler excursion.

How does the itinerary help with altitude?

Altitude is introduced gradually: Arequipa (approx. 2,335 m) and the Colca Valley (approx. 3,600 m) prepare your body before Puno (approx. 3,830 m) and Cusco (approx. 3,400 m). Drink plenty of water, avoid heavy meals on arrival, try coca tea and take the first afternoon at each new altitude slowly. Consult your doctor before travel if you have a medical condition.

When is the best time to go?

April to November is the dry season and the best time for Rainbow Mountain, Lake Titicaca and Machu Picchu. The trip also runs from December to March, when the Andes are green, with afternoon rain, and the coast is sunny and warm.

How much does the Peru Unforgettable Trip 14 Days cost?

The price depends on the hotel category you choose (Essential 2★, Comfort 3★, Superior 4★ or Deluxe 5★) and on the number of travelers. Open the Rates tab for the current price per person, based on double or twin accommodation.
