Nazca, Arequipa & Sacred Valley: FAQ

What is included in this 9-day luxury Peru tour?

It includes 8 nights in your chosen hotel category with breakfast, private transfers, the trip to Nazca with the Nazca Lines overflight, a full-day Colca Canyon excursion, a private Cusco tour, the Sacred Valley, panoramic trains and a guided visit to Machu Picchu.

What luxury touches can I expect in 9 days?

With the Deluxe 5★ category you stay in Peru’s most exclusive luxury and boutique hotels, while Superior 4★ offers premium comfort. Every service is private, from your guides and transfers to panoramic trains, and we can add VIP upgrades such as a luxury train to Machu Picchu, suites, spa time or a private chef dinner.

How long is the Nazca Lines flight?

The flight lasts about 30–35 minutes and passes over more than a dozen figures, including the hummingbird, the monkey, the spider and the astronaut. Flights leave in the morning, when the air is calmer, and depend on the weather.

How does this route help with the altitude?

Arequipa (approx. 2,335 m) and the Colca Valley (approx. 3,600 m) prepare you gradually for the Andes before you fly to Cusco (approx. 3,400 m). The road to Colca crosses a pass above 4,800 m, so take it easy, drink coca tea and plenty of water, and consult your doctor before you travel if you have a medical condition.

How long is the Colca Canyon day trip from Arequipa?

It is a long but rewarding day of about 14–15 hours, starting around 3 am to reach Cruz del Cóndor when the condors are most active. The road crosses a pass above 4,800 m, so drink plenty of water and coca tea; for a more relaxed pace, we can turn it into a 2-day tour with a night in the Colca Valley.

How much does this 9-day luxury Peru tour cost?

The price per person varies with the hotel category (Essential 2★, Comfort 3★, Superior 4★ or Deluxe 5★) and the size of your group. For a genuine luxury experience, we suggest Superior or Deluxe. Check the Rates tab for current prices per person in a double or twin room.
