Lake Titicaca & Machu Picchu Highlights: FAQ

What is included in this 9-day luxury Peru tour?

It includes 8 nights in your chosen hotel category with breakfast, private transfers, a guided Lima tour, panoramic trains, a guided visit to Machu Picchu, the Route of the Sun with lunch and a full-day Lake Titicaca tour.

What luxury touches can I expect in 9 days?

With the Deluxe 5★ category you stay in Peru’s most exclusive luxury and boutique hotels, while Superior 4★ offers premium comfort. Every service is private, from your guides and transfers to panoramic trains, and we can add VIP upgrades such as a luxury train to Machu Picchu, suites, spa time or a private chef dinner.

Yes. Instead of the Route of the Sun tour, you can travel on the Andean Explorer, a luxury sleeper train, or the PeruRail Titicaca train, with fine dining and panoramic views. Ask us for availability and rates.

How do I handle the altitude on this tour?

Cusco (approx. 3,400 m) comes first, then Machu Picchu, which is lower. Lake Titicaca (approx. 3,830 m) is the highest point and comes later, when you are already acclimatized. Drink plenty of water and check with your doctor if you have a medical condition.

When is the best time to visit Lake Titicaca?

April to November is the dry season, with sunny days and very cold nights from June to August. The lake is beautiful all year, but December to March brings afternoon rain.

How much does this 9-day luxury Peru tour cost?

The price per person varies with the hotel category (Essential 2★, Comfort 3★, Superior 4★ or Deluxe 5★) and the size of your group. For a genuine luxury experience, we suggest Superior or Deluxe. Check the Rates tab for current prices per person in a double or twin room.
