7-Day Peru for Two: Essential Inca Trail: Frequently Asked Questions

What does this one-week Peru tour for couples include?

It includes 3 hotel nights in your chosen category, 3 nights of premium camping, private transfers, the classic 4-day Inca Trail with permit, private guide, porters, chef and meals, a guided tour of Machu Picchu and the panoramic train back to Cusco.

Is this one-week trip a good honeymoon?

Yes. Choose the Superior or Deluxe hotel category and we can add romantic extras such as a private dinner, a room upgrade or a celebration in your hotel.

What does a luxury Inca Trail include?

Premium tents with thick mattresses, a dining tent with a private chef, a private toilet tent on request, hot water for washing and porters who carry all the camping gear, so you only carry a day pack.

When is the best time for this one-week trip?

May to September is the driest season on the Inca Trail. The trail closes every February, and permits sell out months ahead.

How can I prepare for the altitude in one week?

The trek starts the day after you arrive in Cusco and crosses Dead Woman’s Pass (4,215 m) on day 4, which is very demanding without acclimatization. We strongly recommend adding at least one or two extra nights in Cusco or the Sacred Valley before the Inca Trail. Drink plenty of water and consult your doctor before you travel.

What is the price of the 7-day Peru tour for couples?

The price of this one-week tour depends on the hotel category (Essential 2★, Comfort 3★, Superior 4★ or Deluxe 5★) and the number of travelers. Current prices per person in a double or twin room are shown in the Rates tab.
