Cusco & the Lost City Mini: FAQ

What is included in this 4-day luxury Cusco tour?

It includes 3 nights in your chosen hotel category with breakfast, private airport transfers in Cusco, a private Cusco city tour, panoramic trains, a night in Aguas Calientes and a private guided visit to Machu Picchu with all entrance fees.

What luxury services are included in this 4-day tour?

With the Deluxe 5★ category you stay in Peru’s finest luxury and boutique hotels; Superior 4★ offers premium comfort. All services are private, including guides, drivers and panoramic trains, and we can add VIP upgrades such as the Hiram Bingham luxury train, a suite, a spa treatment or a private dinner.

Where does this tour start and end?

It starts and ends in Cusco, so it is easy to add to a longer trip around Peru or South America. We can book your flights to and from Cusco, or add extra nights in Lima, the Sacred Valley or Lake Titicaca.

How does this tour help with the altitude?

You arrive directly in Cusco (approx. 3,400 m), so the city tour starts in the afternoon at a gentle pace after time to rest. The next day you descend to Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu (approx. 2,430 m), which are lower and easier on the body. Drink plenty of water and consult your doctor before you travel if you have a medical condition.

Why spend a night in Aguas Calientes?

Sleeping at the foot of Machu Picchu lets you take an early bus up to the citadel, when the light is soft and the crowds are smaller, and enjoy your guided visit without rushing.

How much does this 4-day luxury Cusco tour cost?

The price of this 4-day tour depends on the hotel category (Essential 2★, Comfort 3★, Superior 4★ or Deluxe 5★) and the number of travelers. For a luxury short break, we suggest Superior or Deluxe. The Rates tab shows the current price per person in a double or twin room.
