4-Day Peru Family Trip: Cusco & the Lost City: Questions & Answers

What is included in this 4-day Peru family vacation?

It includes 3 nights in your chosen hotel category with breakfast, private airport transfers in Cusco, a private Cusco city tour, panoramic trains, a night in Aguas Calientes and a private guided visit to Machu Picchu with all entrance fees.

Is this 4-day trip good for children?

Yes. Inca walls, the train through the valley and a night at the foot of Machu Picchu make this short trip a real adventure for kids. Family and connecting rooms can be requested in most hotel categories.

Where does this tour start and end?

It starts and ends in Cusco, so it is easy to add to a longer trip around Peru or South America. We can book your flights to and from Cusco, or add extra nights in Lima, the Sacred Valley or Lake Titicaca.

What is the best time for this 4-day tour?

April to November is the dry season in Cusco and at Machu Picchu.

How will the altitude affect me in 4 days?

You arrive directly in Cusco (approx. 3,400 m), so the city tour starts in the afternoon at a gentle pace after time to rest. The next day you descend to Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu (approx. 2,430 m), which are lower and easier on the body. Drink plenty of water and consult your doctor before you travel if you have a medical condition.

How much does this 4-day Peru family vacation cost?

The price of this 4-day tour depends on the hotel category (Essential 2★, Comfort 3★, Superior 4★ or Deluxe 5★) and the number of travelers. The Rates tab shows the current price per person in a double or twin room.
