Machu Picchu Express: Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in this 3-day luxury Machu Picchu tour?

It includes 2 nights in Cusco in your chosen hotel category with breakfast, private airport transfers, a private Cusco city tour and a full-day Machu Picchu excursion with panoramic train, shuttle bus, entrance ticket, private guide and lunch.

What makes this 3-day Machu Picchu tour a luxury experience?

Choose the Deluxe 5★ category for Cusco’s finest luxury hotels, set in restored colonial mansions, or Superior 4★ for premium comfort. All services are private, from guides and drivers to panoramic trains, and we can add VIP upgrades such as the Hiram Bingham luxury train or a private dinner.

Can you include flights from Lima to Cusco?

Yes. This tour starts and ends in Cusco, but we can book your round-trip flights Lima – Cusco – Lima and coordinate them with your international arrival and departure. Just mention it in the request form and we will include them in your quote.

How does this tour help with the altitude?

You arrive in Cusco (approx. 3,400 m), so the city tour starts in the afternoon at a gentle pace after time to rest. Machu Picchu (approx. 2,430 m) is lower than Cusco. Drink plenty of water, eat light and avoid alcohol on the first evening, and consult your doctor before you travel if you have a medical condition.

Is a full day at Machu Picchu tiring?

It is a long day, leaving Cusco early and returning in the evening, but most of it is spent relaxing on the panoramic train. If you prefer a calmer pace, we can add a night in Aguas Calientes.

How much does this 3-day luxury tour cost?

The price of this 3-day tour depends on the hotel category (Essential 2★, Comfort 3★, Superior 4★ or Deluxe 5★) and the number of travelers. For a luxury short break, choose Superior or Deluxe. The Rates tab shows the current price per person in a double or twin room; flights Lima – Cusco – Lima are quoted separately on request.
