A driver picks you up at your Cusco hotel for the drive to Ollantaytambo and the panoramic train to Aguas Calientes. After a night at the foot of the mountain, visit Machu Picchu early with a guide and ride the train back to Cusco. We handle the logistics so you can focus on the fun.

Day 1
Your private driver picks you up at your hotel in Cusco for a scenic drive across the Andean plateau and down into the Sacred Valley, with views of snow-capped peaks and terraced hillsides. In Ollantaytambo, board the panoramic train along the Urubamba River, with glass ceilings framing the mountains, to Aguas Calientes at the foot of Machu Picchu. Check in to your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening in this mountain town.
Day 2
Take an early shuttle bus up to Machu Picchu and discover the Inca citadel with your private guide: the Main Plaza, the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana stone and the agricultural terraces, framed by Huayna Picchu and the Urubamba canyon. After the tour, return to Aguas Calientes and board the panoramic train back to Cusco, where your driver takes you to your hotel or the airport. End of services.

April to November, the dry season, offers the clearest views of Machu Picchu.
Aguas Calientes (approx. 2,040 m) and Machu Picchu (approx. 2,430 m) are lower than Cusco (approx. 3,400 m), so the tour itself is gentle on the body. We recommend spending at least one night in Cusco before the tour to acclimatize; drink plenty of water and consult your doctor before you travel if you have a medical condition.
The price of this 2-day tour depends on the hotel category in Aguas Calientes (Essential 2★, Comfort 3★, Superior 4★ or Deluxe 5★) and the number of travelers. The Rates tab shows the current price per person; flights and hotels in Cusco are quoted separately on request.
