2-Day Peru Family Trip: Sacred Valley Express: FAQ

What is included in the 2-day Peru family vacation?

It includes hotel pick-up and drop-off in Cusco, a private Sacred Valley tour with lunch, panoramic trains, one night in Aguas Calientes with breakfast, round-trip shuttle bus, entrance ticket and a private guided visit to Machu Picchu.

Is this 2-day trip good for children?

Yes. The Pisac market, Inca terraces, the train and a night near Machu Picchu make it a fun two days for kids. Family and connecting rooms can be requested in most hotel categories.

Can you include flights and hotels in Cusco?

Yes. We can book your round-trip flights Lima – Cusco – Lima, airport transfers and one or two nights in Cusco before the tour so you can acclimatize. Mention it in the request form and we will include everything in one quote.

When is the best time to do this 2-day tour?

April to November is the dry season; the Pisac market is liveliest on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Do I need to acclimatize before this tour?

Aguas Calientes (approx. 2,040 m) and Machu Picchu (approx. 2,430 m) are lower than Cusco (approx. 3,400 m), so the tour itself is gentle on the body. We recommend spending at least one night in Cusco before the tour to acclimatize; drink plenty of water and consult your doctor before you travel if you have a medical condition.

How much does the 2-day Peru family vacation cost?

The price of this 2-day tour depends on the hotel category in Aguas Calientes (Essential 2★, Comfort 3★, Superior 4★ or Deluxe 5★) and the number of travelers. The Rates tab shows the current price per person; flights and hotels in Cusco are quoted separately on request.
