10-Day Peru at Ease: Cusco & Sacred Valley: FAQ

What does the 10-day Peru tour for seniors include?

It includes 9 nights in your chosen hotel category with breakfast, private transfers, guided tours of Lima and Cusco, a Sacred Valley tour, a VIP day at Maras and Moray with gourmet lunch, two nights in the Sacred Valley, panoramic trains and a guided visit to Machu Picchu.

Is the pace of this 10-day tour comfortable for seniors?

Organized transfers, scenic trains and guided visits keep each day easy. It is one of our most relaxed routes: a free afternoon in Cusco, two nights in the lower Sacred Valley and no long hikes.

What are Maras and Moray?

Moray is a set of circular Inca terraces that worked as an agricultural laboratory, with temperature differences between levels. Maras is a hillside of thousands of salt pans fed by a natural spring, worked by local families since pre-Inca times.

What is the best time of year for this 10-day route?

April to November, the dry season, brings sunny days in Cusco and the Sacred Valley; the Maras salt pans look their best from May to October.

How should I prepare for the altitude?

You fly to Cusco (approx. 3,400 m) and spend a gentle first afternoon there, then descend to the Sacred Valley (approx. 2,800 m) and Machu Picchu (approx. 2,430 m), both lower than Cusco. It is one of the easiest ways to enjoy the Andes. Drink plenty of water and check with your doctor if you have a medical condition.

What is the cost of the 10-day Peru tour for seniors?

Prices depend on the hotel category (Essential 2★, Comfort 3★, Superior 4★ or Deluxe 5★) and on how many people travel together. You will find the current price per person in a double or twin room in the Rates tab.
