Discover Lima: Classic City Tour & Time at Your Leisure

In the morning, your private guide leads you through Lima’s UNESCO-listed historic center: the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral and the San Francisco Monastery, whose baroque cloisters and underground catacombs hold centuries of history. The afternoon is at leisure to explore Miraflores and bohemian Barranco or enjoy lunch at one of the acclaimed restaurants that have made Lima a world capital of gastronomy.

Overnight in Lima
Huacachina oasis surrounded by sand dunes Day 3

Set Sail to the Ballestas Islands & Escape to the Huacachina Oasis

Leave Lima early for the bay of Paracas and sail to the Ballestas Islands, the “Peruvian Galápagos”, passing the giant Candelabra geoglyph to see sea lions, Humboldt penguins and thousands of seabirds. Continue inland to the Huacachina Oasis, a palm-fringed lagoon surrounded by towering dunes, where a dune buggy ride at sunset ends the day in style.

Overnight in Huacachina
Nazca Lines seen from a light aircraft Day 4

Soar Over the Nazca Lines & Overland Journey Back to Lima

Take off on a light aircraft over the desert to see the hummingbird, the monkey and the other giant figures of the Nazca Lines, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of archaeology’s greatest mysteries. Then relax on a comfortable bus journey back to Lima along the Pacific coast, arriving in the evening at your hotel in Miraflores.

Plaza de Armas of Cusco with its cathedral Day 5

Flight to Cusco & Day at Your Leisure

Fly over the Andes to Cusco (approx. 3,400 m), the ancient capital of the Incas. Your driver takes you to your hotel, where the rest of the day is yours to rest and acclimatize. Take it easy, drink plenty of water and enjoy a first evening stroll to the Plaza de Armas as the city lights up.

Koricancha Inca temple and Santo Domingo church in Cusco Day 6

Uncover Cusco: Classic City Tour & Andean Charm

Stone by stone, Cusco reveals its secrets. Your private guide leads you from the Cathedral and the golden past of the Koricancha to the impressive zigzag walls of Sacsayhuamán, overlooking the red rooftops of the city. Continue to Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay, three sacred sites that tell the story of Inca worship, defense and water engineering.

Overnight in Cusco
Andean village of Chinchero in the Sacred Valley Day 7

Explore the Sacred Valley & Ollantaytambo

Spend a full day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas with your private guide. Spend the night in a boutique hotel in the valley.

Train travelling along the Urubamba River to Machu Picchu Day 8

Ride the Panoramic Train to Machu Picchu: A Voyage Through Inca Lands

Guided tour of the Machu Picchu citadel Day 9

Machu Picchu Revealed: Guided Discovery

Take an early bus up to Machu Picchu and discover the Inca citadel with your private guide: the Main Plaza, the Temple of the Sun and the Intihuatana stone, set between towering green peaks above the Urubamba River.
