10-Day Private Peru: Arequipa & Colca: FAQ

What does the 10-day private Peru tour include?

It includes 9 nights in your chosen hotel category with breakfast, private transfers, a guided Lima tour, a 2-day Colca Canyon tour, a private Cusco tour, the Sacred Valley, panoramic trains and a guided visit to Machu Picchu.

Can I tailor this 10-day private tour?

Yes. You choose the start date, hotel category and pace, and you can add nights, upgrade trains or include extra experiences. Tell us your plans in the request form.

What is special about the Santa Catalina Monastery?

Founded in 1579, Santa Catalina is a city within the city: a maze of colorful streets, cloisters and cells where nuns lived in seclusion for centuries. It is one of the most beautiful colonial sites in the Americas.

What is the best time of year for this 10-day route?

April to November is the dry season in Colca, Cusco and Machu Picchu, and Arequipa is sunny almost all year.

How should I prepare for the altitude?

Arequipa (approx. 2,335 m) and the Colca Valley prepare your body for the Andes before you fly to Cusco (approx. 3,400 m). After Cusco you descend to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, both lower. Drink plenty of water, rest on arrival at each stop and check with your doctor if you have a medical condition.

What is the cost of the 10-day private Peru tour?

Prices depend on the hotel category (Essential 2★, Comfort 3★, Superior 4★ or Deluxe 5★) and on how many people travel together. You will find the current price per person in a double or twin room in the Rates tab.
